Stomata seen through a compound microscope.
Rotifer captured using my new microscope. Planning to buy one of those bendable mobile tripods for recording videos. I observed perfect alignment of camera lens and eyepiece is required when taking pictures. It is much easier to record using a Foldscope
Pollen grains of an unidentified flower seen using Foldscope
Saw this white hairy thing stuck to a plant leaf. Decided to checkout using my Foldscope. I think it is some kind of seed. Looks like a feather when seen through the foldscope !! Nature’s secret for making light yet sturdy flying machines ?
Starfish like structure on the bottom side of a okra plant leaf seen using Foldscope. Are these trichomes ? And do they have a cavity inside them or r those air bubbles?
One drop of water can make a huge difference! Images of maida(wheat flour) and atta (whole grain flour) taken using Foldscope after adding a drop of water. Can you identify which image is maida and which one is atta ? What makes atta healthy ? Anything we can see in the image ?
Decided to observe Maida and Atta under foldscope. Maida is wheat flour, Atta is whole grain wheat flour. Atta is prepared using stone grinder and is considered to be more healthy. Under a Foldscope they don’t look that different !
Mango (Badami) pulp seen through a foldscope (iodine stain was used). It would be great to see how different varieties of mango look under a foldscope.
Cabbage leaf seen using Foldscope . Interesting to see how different types of illumination can reveal different details. I used the bindi dark field technique, but instead of blocking light at center, tried to cover one side of the hole.
